PhotoPhilanthropy's Activist Awards Live Judging Event

Join PhotoPhilanthropy  for this rare opportunity to go “behind the scenes” and see this esteemed panel of judges critique and select the top photo-essays submitted for PhotoPhilanthropy’s annual Activist Awards. Who will win the $15,000 grand prize for best photo-essay? You will see the work of amazing photographers and non-profits that have worked together to inspire social change. Attend for the day or stop in to see the judges discuss your favorite essay category and find out who will win in each group.

The Judges:

Valenda Campbell, Director of Photography, Manager of Brand and Creative Production for CARE; Keith Jenkins, Senior Multimedia Producer for NPR; Barbara Kinney, award-winning freelance photojournalist; Larry McNeil, photographer, scholar and professor of arts and humanities; Ami Vitale, World Press Photo award-winning photographer. 

Judging Schedule:

Student Award: 10am – 11am 
Amateur Award: 11am – 12pm
Professional Award: 1pm – 4pm
