An Evening of Travel Photography

Exotic locations. Intriguing sights and sounds. Welcoming locals and warm-hearted strangers. Travel photography promises all this and more.

But what's the business of travel photography really like? What makes a great travel photo, and what are photo buyers looking for nowadays? Plus, what are the markets and, more importantly, how does one get started? And just how does one get on those tourism board-sponsored press trips?

Join us on the evening of May 12th to hear our panel of experienced travel photographers discuss these topics and more. You'll hear about how to market your work to newspapers and magazines around the world, and how to work with feature and photo editors to produce the kind of photos that land on publication covers.

You'll also learn how to communicate with tourism bureaus to arrange for subsidized or free travel to capture the spirit and flavor of a destination. Best of all, you'll hear directly from our panelists about the best and worst of times as a working travel photographer. All in all, it's an event not to be missed.

So join us on the evening of May 12th and find out if the exciting world of travel photography is for you.
