Under the guidance and hard work of ASMP Member Craig Sherod a new Speical Interest Group (SIG) has been created to host events and present information on MultiMedia Imaging.
Multimedia Special Interest Group Launches with Richard Koci Hernandez on May 21st
Richard Koci Hernandez, a 12-year veteran photographer and Deputy Photo Editor at the Mercury News, will bring his amazing enthusiasm, vast knowledge, and amazing multimedia projects and kick off our first meeting of the new ASMP-NorCal Multimedia Special Interest Group (MMSIG).
Richard and the team at the Mercury News just won second place in the prestigious POYi competition for best multimedia site, beating out the New York Times in the process (Ouch!). Richard is a force of nature when he gets started talking about multimedia and you don't want to miss this event. Check out one of his recent projects, Red Hot Rails (mercurynewsphoto.com/train/), a fully interactive piece that includes video, stills (shot with the HD videocam), audio, interactive illustrations, a navigational interface, and a great storyline. Or visit an amazing website and resource he hosts in his spare time (sleeping must be optional for Richard), www.multimediashooter.com.
