October 11th:
An Evening With Leaders In Digital Technology

The digital revolution is at our door and to ignore it could spell trouble for any photographer. While many of us shoot film and deliver scanned images, digital capture is an ever-growing presence in the photo marketplace. The ability to shoot and deliver a job the same day via high-speed internet lines is highly compelling.

Please join us for ASMP’s annual, mini trade show featuring best-of-class vendors discussing and demonstrating their products in detail. It promises to be an informative and rewarding evening.

Chris Benes is Phase One’s representative for the West Coast. An increasing number of professionals working in large or medium format are turning to Phase One, with the H-25 finding itself on the back of many high-end pro shooter’s cameras. These are pricey machines, but offer a superior image to the most demanding clients. Chris will talk about Phase One’s current lineup and its soon to be introduced P-45 digital back.

Tom Kunhardt has been Kodak’s professional rep in the Bay Area for many years, monitoring the pulse of professional photography for the “Big Yellow Box.” While Eastman Kodak has opted out of the pro-level market, it still offers a wide range of products for image output, including papers for ink jet printing and fourth generation dye-sublimation printers producing RA-4 quality prints from a desktop machine.

Jim Rose, Canon’s Northern California representative, will discuss Canon’s newest entry into the ever-so-crowded DSLR marketplace. He will have the EOS 1Ds Mark II and EOS D-5 (Canon’s latest DSLR for the studio and portrait photographer) cameras on hand. Canon has been at the forefront of digital technology for many years, and Jim will tell you why.
