December 13th:
Illustrative Portraiture
Taking an image beyond a normal portrait is challenging. In an informative panel discussion, three portrait photographers—known for their unique styles—will share their knowledge of creating compelling corporate, fine art, and lifestyle portraits.
Christine Alicino’s unique approach includes an avant-garde slant to the subject, lighting, and technique for her editorial, environmental, and advertising work. She is represented by Marianne Campbell Associates of San Francisco. Visit www.mariannecampbell.com to see Christine’s work.
Thayer Allison Gowdy focuses on simplicity, sophistication, and elegance in her subjects. Her lifestyle imagery has a strong editorial look that speaks for itself. Based in San Francisco, Thayer covers national assignments that keep her on the road much of the year. Her web site is: www.thayerphoto.com
Mel Lindstrom brings a sense of beauty to subjects ranging from still-life to lifestyle portraits. His unique style captures a sense of warmth and emotion in his executive portraits. Mel’s passions are his family and his new award-winning style, which he calls “New Art.” Mel’s work can be seen at: www.melphoto.com.
Our panelists will present three very different styles and techniques. Please come early to meet them, fellow ASMP members, and guests.
