| Mentoring Program
I am the new secretary of the board of the Northern
California chapter of ASMP and have taken on the project of putting
together a mentoring program for our chapter.
I am just in the planning stages and have contacted
the presidents of some of the other chapters in the country. What
I’ve found so far is that many other chapters already have
mentoring programs ranging from simply listing mentors on a web
page to providing programs where students intern at a different
photographer’s studio every week. There are also a couple
of chapters that have photographers who offer internships to students
and new members. We’ll be looking into the program types that
will work best for our chapter. For now, I am asking those of you
who have time and would be willing, to please email or call me and
tell me if you’d like to become a mentor. Please contact me
